Question about the Honda Shadow???

Hello everyone;

I'm sorry i have to right in english because i'm writing from the University, and we have no arabic on the PCs there,


my question is as follow:

I'm going to buy a Honda Shadow model 2000, 400cc,

i don't have experience in the bikes, i only drove a "Banchi", for 3 or 4 times only.

so do u think it's Okey for me to start with the Honda Shadow 400cc??

and can i modify it later on, if i wanted?? i mean can i increase the power and the acceleration...

yes my friend it's o.k to have this bike far as i know cos as long as you got a small ingine you'r in the safe side >>and for you to modify your bike it's not that hard but you'r modell is old so it's gona take you along time to find your need's >>

i dont know anything about honda cuase my bike is hayabusa & all my informations

Dear Last Prince

I do not recommend that you travel long distance on the shadow 400cc, you see the engine is small and the bike is for beginners>that is my opinion< and I advise you to buy a more hors power motorcycle if you want to travel between countries. Again it is up to you my brother.

Again it is up to and what you think is right for you, I think not less than 700cc. You want to have good power when you travel, think about it like this, which car would you think you will travel to riyadh on a toyota corolla or or the smal Suzuki the one you see in jeddah in the balad street

For me I like anything more than 1000cc, I have a honda VTX 1300cc and I love it , it is powerful nice looking and I can travel with eas and no problem, but also you have to think about your budget if your Budget is good you better buy a new motorcycle.

That is said, if you are new to motorcycling you better get a smal motorcycle and practise on it until you are comfortable then buy a biger motorcycle, but if you are comfotable riding a motorcycle then buy a biger one.

I would like to ask you one quastion
What is your Purpose in bikes world? Power or travill?
And I don't recommend to upgraed an old bike it will give you a haedache.
As you saide, you'r a biggener, so the honda shadow is OK for that, and when you feel you are ready for more... then look around for what you need.

in my theory.. if you wanna buy a bike for traveling.. get a Gold Wing... its really cool bike
i tried it last trip we went.. its really so cool also in the gold wing bike there is a tape.. you can
play music or song you like it & am sure that you not gonna feel lonely & bored
am sure about it.. for travel.. buy Gold Wing & you never gonna be sorry about it
